Probationary Employee Firings

As part of the indiscriminate firings of federal employees with probationary status, the administration began slashing jobs at the National Parks Service starting on Feb. 14. The NPS has not officially confirmed the number of jobs lost, but the Association of National Park Rangers has been working to determine through outreach to affected individuals the number of jobs lost. As of Feb. 28, they have confirmed 759 jobs lost across 49 out of 63 national parks.
